The flash's two-part design allows the control head to be mounted to your Canon EOS camera's accessory shoe while the ring light is attached to the end of the lens barrel. Placing the flash in this location lets you concentrate even, shadow-freelight directly on your subject for perfectly exposed shots. The MR-14EX has twin semi-circular flash tubes with independent power output adjustments. Set to fire equally, they'll deliver uniform lighting over the entire area. When the output of one tube is set higher than the other, it creates a side-lighting effect that makes details pop out and gives your subject a more three-dimensional appearance. A sophisticated automatic exposure controlworks together with your Canon camera to provide the right illumination for your photos every time.And the large backlit display panel makes it easyto read important exposure data. The MR-14EX will also act as a "master" unit in a multiple-flashsystem. Transmitting wireless signals, it can trigger additional Canon Speedlight 430EX flash unitsmounted off-camera.
